_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Procedure
S 024-043-N00
(1) Remove the buffer air cooler for the No. 3 bearing.
WARNING: PERMIT SUFFICIENT TIME FOR THE BUFFER AIR COOLER AND THE
_______ RELATED TUBES OF THE NO. 3 BEARING TO BECOME COOL AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THESE COMPONENTS CAN BE VERY HOT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(a)
Disconnect the tube nuts from the buffer air cooler.
(b)
Remove the screws that hold the buffer air cooler to the intermediate case.
(c)
Remove the bolts that attach the buffer air cooler to the mount bracket.
(d)
Remove the buffer air cooler and the classified spacer plate from the engine.
NOTE: Keep the classified spacer with the buffer air cooler.
____ If you will replace the buffer air cooler, use the classified spacer with the replacement buffer air cooler.
