 4) Tighten the jamnut on the rod end of the control cable to 32-36 pound-inches (3.6-4.1 newton-meters). 5) Safety the jamnut with lockwire.
 (i)  Attach the rod end of the control cable to the idler arm as follows: 1) Lubricate the bolt with engine oil.

2) Install the nut on the bolt.
 a) Tighten the nut to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5
 newton-meters).

 (j)  
Align the rigging pin hole in the LPT valve lever arm with the rigging pin hole in the LPT valve.

 (k)  
Install a PWA 85465 rig pin through the lever arm and into the rig pin hole on the LPT valve.

 (l)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt with engine oil.

 (m)  
Install the forward rod end of the adjuster assembly with the bolt, bushing and nut.


 NOTE: Make sure to install the bolt from the inner side and
____ the bushing between the idler arm and the rod end of the adjuster assembly.
 1)  Tighten the nut to 14-16 pound-inches (1.4-1.8
 newton-meters).

 (n)  
Pull the rod end of the control cable rearward until the bolt holes of the rear rod end of the adjuster assembly and the LPT lever arm align.

 (o)  
If you can align the bolt holes, do the steps that follow: 1) Lubricate the bolt with engine oil. 2) Attach the rod end to the LPT lever arm with the bolt and


 nut.
 NOTE: Install the bolt from the inner side of the LPT
____
 lever arm.

 a)  Tighten the nut to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
 (p)  If you cannot align the bolt holes, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the lockwire and loosen the two jamnuts on the rod ends of the adjuster assembly.
 2)  Turn the adjuster and align the bolt holes of the rear rod end and the LPT lever arm.
 NOTE: Make sure you can see the threads of both rod ends
____ through the inspection holes in the adjuster.
 3) Lubricate the bolt with engine oil. 4) Attach the rear rod end to the LPT lever arm with the bolt and nut.
 NOTE: Install the bolt from the inner side of the LPT
____
 lever arm.

 a) Tighten the nut to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5
 newton-meters).
 5) Tighten the jamnuts on the rod ends of the adjuster
 assembly to 14-16 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

6) Safety the jamnuts with lockwire.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE THREE RIGGING PINS AND THE POSITIONING BOLT
_______ ARE REMOVED FROM THE ENGINE. IF THE RIGGING PINS OR THE POSITIONING BOLT ARE NOT REMOVED, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
 (q)  
Remove the three rigging pins.

 (r)  
Remove the positioning bolt from the aft end of the TCC air valve actuator.

 H.
Return the Aircraft to Its Usual Condition

Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Close the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 (3)  
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

 S 445-018-N00

 (4)  
Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser
 (AMM 78-31-00/201).


 S 715-049-N00

 (5)  
Do the test of the TCC control cable that is shown in the Power Plant Test Reference Table (AMM 71-00-00/501).
