Remove all the protection covers.

If it is necessary to install a new TVBCA valve (5), do the steps that follow:
(a)
Lubricate the threads of the adapter (21) with engine oil.

(b)
Install the new gasket (20) on the adapter (21).
(c)
Install the adapter (21) in the port on the TVBCA valve (5).
(d)
Tighten the adapter (21) to 110-120 pound-inches (12.4-13.6 newton-meters).

(3) Install the turbine-vane-and-blade cooling air-valves:
(a) Attach the new gasket (6) to the valve boss on the HPC case with paraffin wax.
CAUTION: WHEN YOU USE A STANDARD TORQUE ADAPTER, YOU MUST ADJUST
_______ THE TORQUE WRENCH READING. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THREADED PARTS.
(b)
Find the torque wrench reading when you use the standard torque adapter (AMM 70-23-00/201).
(c)
For the left TVBCA valve (5), do the steps that follow: 1) Put the TVBCA valve (5) and the bracket (10 and 19) on the
valve boss. 2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (16) with engine oil. 3) Use a standard torque adapter to attach the TVBCA valve (5)
with the bolts (16). a) Tighten the bolts (16), from one corner to the opposite corner, to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters). b) Without loosening, tighten the bolts (16) again until the necessary torque is kept.
4) Attach the support bracket (12) for the wire bundle to the bracket (10) on the TVBCA valve flange with the bolts (11), washers (13), and nuts (14). a) Tighten the nuts (14).
(d) For the right TVBCA valve (5), do the steps that follow: 1) Put the TVBCA valve (5) and the bracket (24) on the valve boss. 2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (23 and 28) with engine oil.
3) Use a standard torque adapter to attach the TVBCA valve (5) with the bolts (23 and 28). a) Tighten the bolts (23 and 28), from one corner to the
opposite corner, to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters).
