2) ENGINES WITH PHASE 3 CHANGES; Remove and discard the gasket from the front flange of the duct. a) ENGINES WITHOUT PHASE 3 CHANGES AND PRE-PW-SB 72-315 OR
POST-PW-SB 75-57;
Remove and discard the gasket on the boss on the HPT
case.
b) ENGINES POST-PW-SB 72-315 OR WITH PHASE 3 CHANGES; Remove and discard the metering orifice seal plate from the boss on the HPT case.
(f) Install the protection caps to the TVC air duct, and the openings on the HPC and HPT cases.

Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Procedure

(1)
Remove the No.2 turbine-vane cooling air-duct:
(a)
Remove the accessory cooling air tube and the tube support bracket with the steps that follow: 1) Remove the screws, nuts, and washers which attach the tube
clamps for the support of the engine fire detector element to the tube support bracket on the flange M and flange N support brackets.
2) Loosen the tube nut which attaches the accessory cooling air tube to the inlet duct for the turbine case cooling air.
3) Loosen the tube nut at the forward end of the tee for the accessory cooling air tube.
4) Remove the bolts, nuts, and washers, and clamp which attach the lower end of the accessory cooling air tube to the bracket.
5) Remove the screw and washer which attaches the tube clamp for the accessory cooling air tube to the support bracket on the flange M and flange N support brackets.
6) Remove the accessory cooling air tube from the engine.
7) Remove the bolts, washers, and nuts which attach the tube support bracket to the flange M and flange N support brackets.
8) Remove the tube support bracket.
(b) Remove the bolts which attach the forward flange of the TVC air duct and bracket to the flange of the turbine vane and blade cooling air (TVBCA) valve on the HPC case.
