(1)
Clean the surfaces that seal for the barometric switch:
(a)
Remove the used sealant from the bracket and the barometric switch if it is not new:
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE SOLVENT IN YOUR MOUTH OR EYES, OR ON
_______ YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE SOLVENT. PUT ON A PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLE AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE THE SOLVENT. KEEP THE SOLVENT AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND HEAT. THE SOLVENT IS A POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE MATERIAL WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
1) Clean the two surfaces with a clean, bristle brush (or cheesecloth) that is soaked with trichloroethane inhibited solvent or Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK).
NOTE: When you apply the solvent, do not use too much.

2) Dry the two surfaces with a cloth.
(2) S 434-019-N00Install the barometric switch: (a) Align the bolt holes on the barometric switch and the bracket. (b) Install the bolts and the washers. 1) Tighten the bolts.
(3) S 394-021-N00Apply a fillet seal between the edges of the barometric switch and the bracket: (a) If the temperature of the surfaces that will be sealed is less than 50°F (10°C), increase the temperature of the surfaces with a heat gun with a maximum temperature of 120°F (50°C) (AMM 20-11-25/201). 1) Use the sealant to apply a 0.1 inch (2.5 mm) thick seal between the surfaces of the barometric switch and the bracket. 2) Give the seal a 48 hour cure time.
