(b) (c) (d)  Lubricate the bolt with engine oil.Install the bolt in the forward hole.Tighten the bolt with your hand only.
 (3)  S 414-014-N00Install the applicable EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple probe (AMM 77-21-01/401).
 (4)  S 434-011-N00Tighten the housing bolt to 54-60 pound-inches (6.1-6.8 newton-meters).
 (5)  S 434-017-N00Install lockwire or the optional safety cable and ferrule to the housing bolt.
 (6)  S 714-019-N00Do the test of the EGT probe that is shown in the Power-Plant Test-Reference Table (AMM 71-00-00/501).

EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE (TT4.95) THERMOCOUPLE HOUSING - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This task does a check of the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple housing.
 B.  There are two EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple housings installed on the turbine exhaust case at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions.
 C.  You must remove the EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple housing to do the
 inspection procedure.

 D.  You must open the applicable core cowl panel to get access to the EGT housing.

Remove the EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple housing (AMM 77-21-05/401).

Visually examine the housing for nicks, dents, cracks, and deformation.

 (a)  
Nicks and dents are permitted.

 (b)  
Heat damage is permitted if you can install the housing or the thermocouple probe.
