 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS TOO TIGHT. TO THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE
 (d)  Install the nuts that attach the harness leads to the terminal studs. 1) Tighten the nuts on the alumel studs (the larger nuts) to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters).

2)  Tighten the nuts on the chromel studs (the smaller nuts) to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

 (8)  Install the clamp halves:
 (a)  
Put the inner clamp half and the outer clamp half in position around the thermocouple cables.

 (b)  
Lubricate the clamp screws with engine oil.

 (c)  
Install the clamp screws.

 (d)  
Tighten the clamp screws to 16-22 pound-inches
 (1.8-2.5 newton-meters).

 (9)  Install the terminal box cover:
 (a)  
Lubricate the cover screws with engine oil.

 (b)  
Put the ground lead of the EEC harness between the hole on the top aft corner of the terminal box cover and the terminal box.

 (c)  
Put the cover in its position on the terminal box.

 (d)  
Install the screws.

 (e)  
Tighten the screws to 16-22 pound-inches
 (1.8-2.5 newton-meters).


 (f)  
Install lockwire between the cover screws and the clamp screws.


 NOTE: Do not install lockwire between the inner clamp screw

 and the outer clamp screw.

 2) 414D22 EEC GND TEST ENG 2
 3) 414D23 EEC GND TEST ENG 3
 4) 414D24 EEC GND TEST ENG 4

EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE (TT4.95) THERMOCOUPLE HOUSING -

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple housing. The other task is the installation of the housing.
 B.  There are two EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple housings installed on the turbine exhaust case at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions.
 C.  You must remove the applicable EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple probe before you remove the housing.
 D.  You must open the applicable core cowl panel to get access to the housing.
