 (6)  S 034-021-N00Remove the bolt (9) that attaches the clamp to the bracket (15) at the 6 o'clock position on the turbine exhaust case.
 (7)  S 034-022-N00Remove the bolt (10) that attaches the plate (11) and the spacer (17) to the bracket (15) at the 6 o'clock position on the turbine exhaust case.
 (8)  S 034-015-N00Cut the lockwire and remove the screws (23) that attach the cover (24) on the terminal box.
 (9)  S 014-027-N00Remove the cover (24) from the terminal box.

 (10) Remove the four nuts (21 and 22) that attach the harness leads of the EEC thermocouple cable (20), right thermocouple cable (1), and left thermocouple cable (2) to the terminal box studs.

 NOTE: Temporarily install the nuts (21 and 22) on the terminal box

Install the Left Thermocouple Cable (Fig. 401).

 (1)  
Remove the four nuts (3 and 4) and washers (5 and 8) from the thermocouple probe studs at the 7 and 10 o'clock positions on the turbine exhaust case.

Attach the harness leads of the left thermocouple cable to each set of thermocouple studs with the washers (5 and 8) and nuts (3 and 4).

 NOTE: Align the harness leads to make them parallel to each other

 before you tighten the nuts (3 and 4).

 CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM TORQUE THAT IS
_______ SPECIFIED. TOO MUCH TORQUE ON THE NUTS CAN LOOSEN OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS.
 (3)  Tighten the nuts (3 and 4) to the correct torque as follows:
 (a)  Tighten the nuts on the alumel (larger diameter) thermocouple probe studs to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters).
