 A.  This task is to clean the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple cable terminal box.
 B.  The terminal box is installed on the turbine exhaust case at the 5 o'clock position.
 C.  Open the right core cowl panel to get access to the terminal box.

 (2)  S 017-003-N00Open the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).
 (3)  S 037-004-N00Remove the screws that attach the terminal box cover, the ground lead for the EEC harness, and the inner and outer clamp halves.
 (4)  S 037-014-N00Remove the cover and the clamps from the engine.
 (5)  S 037-015-N00Disconnect the EGT thermocouple cable and the EEC harness: (a) Remove the nuts that attach the electrical leads to the terminal studs. (b) Remove the EGT harness leads from the terminal studs.
 (6)  S 117-016-N00Clean the terminal box, the terminal box cover, and the clamps. (a) Put solvent on a cloth. (b) Clean the terminal box cover and the clamp halves with the cloth. (c) Clean the outer surfaces of the terminal box with the cloth. (d) Remove the unwanted material with compressed air at 30 psi (207 kPa) maximum.
 (7)  S 437-017-N00Connect the EGT thermocouple cables and the EEC harness: (a) Install the EGT harness leads of the left EGT thermocouple cable on the terminal studs. (b) Install the EGT harness leads of the right EGT thermocouple cable on the terminal studs. (c) Install the EGT harness leads of the EEC harness on the terminal studs.
