C. Procedure

(1) For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers on the main power distribution panel, P6, and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
6G15 SCU ALT PWR ENG 1
(b)
6G23 ENG SCU 1
(c)
6G16 SCU ALT PWR ENG 2
(d)
6G24 ENG SCU 2
(e)
6G17 SCU ALT PWR ENG 3
(f)
6G25 ENG SCU 3
(g)
6G18 SCU ALT PWR ENG 4
(h)
6G26 ENG SCU 4

You must open the right core cowl panel to get access to the EGT probes (1) at the 1 or the 4 o'clock position (AMM 71-11-06/201).

You must open the left core cowl panel to get access to the EGT probes (1) at the 7 or the 10 o'clock position (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Remove the nuts (2 and 3) and the washers (4 and 8) that attach the harness leads (5) to the studs on the EGT probe (1).

Remove the harness leads from studs on the EGT probe (1).

Remove the EGT probe (1):
(a)
Disconnect the tube nut (10) on the PT4.95 pressure manifold.
(b)
Disconnect the clamps on the PT4.95 pressure tube adjacent to to the EGT probes (1) at the 4 and 10 o'clock positions.
(c)
Remove the bolts (6) that attach the EGT probe and the bracket (7 and 11) to the turbine exhaust case.
(d)
Move the bracket (7 or 11) aft.

(e) Remove the EGT probe (1) from the housing.

(7) Install covers on the exhaust case, the manifold, and the EGT probe (1).
