 (6)  Apply heat at 600-700°F (316-371°C) with a heat gun to the secondary junctions of the EGT probe.

 (7)  Examine the needle on the meter for movement for each set of terminal studs.
 (a)  If the needle on the meter moves, replace the EGT probe (AMM 77-21-01/401).

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure includes the task to clean the exhaust gas temperature (TT4.95) thermocouple probe.
 B.  There are four exhaust gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple probes. The EGT probes are installed on the turbine exhaust case at the 1, 4, 7, and 10 o'clock positions.
 C.  To get access to the EGT probes, you must open the applicable core cowl panel.
