 A.  N1 indication is shown on the main EICAS display with a vertical bar graph for each engine and a digital readout, in percent, just above the graph. For more information on N1 indication, refer to Integrated Display System, AMM 31-61-00/001.
 B.  Primary N2 indication signals are received from the EEC and are shown on the auxiliary EICAS display with a vertical bar graph for each engine and a digital readout, in percent, just above the graph. For more information on N2 indication, refer to Integrated Display System, AMM 31-61-00/001.
 6.  Operation (Fig. 3, Fig. 4)

 A.  Functional Description
 (1)  
The EEC speed transducer (N1) generates an inductive signal with a frequency determined by the passing rate of 60 teeth on the LPC/LPT coupling through the coils field, and supplies this signal to the EEC. The EEC sends the signal to the EIU's for display on EICAS.

 (2)  
The EEC receives the N2 speed signal from the frequency of one phase of the power windings output of the EEC alternator. The EEC converts the N2 analog input to a digital signal and sends it to the EIU's.
