Disconnect the plug, D424, from the pneumatic starter valve.

Do the steps that follow to measure the voltage of the right and left ignition circuits on the applicable engine:

 (a)  
Put the start lever in the CUTOFF position.

 (b)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the BOTH position and the start switch in the GRD position and hold. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 connector, D420, is 0 |6 volts AC. 2) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (c)  
Put the start lever in the IDLE position.

 (d)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the BOTH position and the start switch in the GRD position. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 connector, D420, is 115 |6 volts AC. 2) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 115 |6 volts AC.

 (e)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the BOTH position and the start switch in the OFF position. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 connector, D420, is 0 |6 volts AC. 2) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (f)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the IGN L position and the start switch in the CONT position. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 


 connector, D420, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (g)  
For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P6 Load Control Center

 a) ENG 1 L IGN
 b) ENG 2 L IGN


 (h)  
Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (i)  
For the applicable engine, close these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P6 Load Control Center

 a) ENG 1 L IGN
 b) ENG 2 L IGN


 (j)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the IGN R position and the start switch in the CONT position. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 connector, D420, is 115 |6 volts AC. 2) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (k)  
For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P6 Load Control Center

 a) ENG 1 R IGN
 b) ENG 2 R IGN


 (l)  
Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D420, is 0 |6 volts AC.

 (m)  
For the applicable engine, close these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P6 Load Control Center

 a) ENG 1 R IGN
 b) ENG 2 R IGN


 (n)  
Put the engine ignition switch in the IGN R position and the start switch in the FLT position. 1) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the

 connector, D420, is 115 |6 volts AC. 2) Make sure the AC voltage across pin B to ground of the connector, D1214, is 115 |6 volts AC.

 (o)  
Remove the jumper from pin B to ground of the plug, D420.

 (a)  
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
 1) ENG 1 START VALVE
