D. Remove the Ignition Leads (Fig. 401)

(1) If the left ignition lead is to be removed, open this circuit
breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Load Control Center
1) L IGN

(2) If the right ignition lead is to be removed, open this circuit
breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Load Control Center
1) R IGN

(3) Open the right and left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______
THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY
TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(4) Open the right and left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

WARNING:_______THE IGNITION SYSTEM VOLTAGE IS DANGEROUSLY HIGH. DO NOT TOUCH THE IGNITION COMPONENTS UNTIL YOU DO THE PROCEDURE THAT FOLLOWS. THIS PROCEDURE WILL RELEASE THE HIGH VOLTAGE FROM THE IGNITION EXCITER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PROCEDURE, INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
(5) Do these steps to release the high voltage from the ignition
exciter:
(a)
Set the start switch to the OFF position.
(b)
Stop (wait) for a minimum of 2 minutes.
(c)
Disconnect the exciter-to-igniter cable terminal from the igniter plug.
