(f)  On Type 3 ignition leads, do these steps: 1) Remove the dust caps from the spark igniter boss and ignition lead.
 2)  Make sure the combustion chamber ferrule and the spark igniter boss is aligned. a) Install a small plastic drift, 0.375 inch (9.58 mm)
 maximum diameter through the spark igniter boss and into the ferrule.
 CAUTION: YOU MUST ALIGN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER FERRULE WITH
_______ THE IGNITER BOSS DURING THE INSTALLATION. DAMAGE TO THE SPARK IGNITER CAN OCCUR.
 3)  If you do not align the ferrule and it is not easy to move, do this: a) Apply oil (CP2162) to loosen the ferrule and permit the
 drift to be aligned.
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE TOO MUCH GREASE AND DO NOT LET THE GREASE
_______ TOUCH THE INSIDE OF SURFACE OF THE SPARK IGNITER OR THE CONNECTOR NUT OF THE IGNITION LEAD. INCORRECT APPLICATION OF GREASE WILL CAUSE FAILURE OF THE IGNITER OR IGNITION LEAD BEFORE THE USUAL TIME.
 4)  Lightly apply grease (CP2101) on the threads of the spark igniter boss.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE SPARK IGNITER DOES NOT FALL FROM THE
_______ IGNITION LEAD WHEN YOU INSTALL IT IN THE COMBUSTION CASE. DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 5)  Carefully put the spark igniter in the end of the ignition lead.
 CAUTION: ON TYPE 3 IGNITION LEADS, LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE
_______ COUPLING NUTS WITH CFMI IGNITION LEAD NUT REMOVAL TOOL TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE FUEL MANIFOLD.
 ON TYPE 3 AND TYPE 4 IGNITION LEADS, BE CAREFUL WITH THE IGNITION LEAD TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CONDUIT AND INTERNAL WIRES.
 6)  Put the ignition lead on the spark igniter boss with the Ignition Lead Nut Removal Tool. a) Tighten the connector to 260-290 pound-inches
 (29-33 Newton meter).

(g)  b) Install the lockwire on the ignition plug boss.ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 74-009; Assemble the Type 4 ignition lead connector as follows: 1) Keep all the ignition components clean during the assembly. 2) If it is necessary, install a new ceramic insulator. a) Install a new retaining ring on the igniter contact. 3) Install the caged spring assembly on the ceramic insulator. a) Make sure the large shoulder end of the caged spring assembly is at the igniter contact end of the ignition lead.
 ú  4)  Put a new white chamfered silicone seal on the ignition lead.
 NOTE:____ The white chamfered silicone seal and the blue symmetrical silicone seal are not interchangeable.
 (h)  ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 74-009; Assemble the Type 4 ignition lead connector as follows: 1) Keep all the ignition components clean during the assembly. 2) If it is necessary, install a new ceramic insulator. a) Install a new retaining ring on the igniter contact. 3) Put a new blue symmetrical silicone seal on the ignition lead.
 NOTE:____ The white chamfered silicone seal and the blue symmetrical silicone seal are not interchangeable.
 (i)  Install the ignition lead as follows:
 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT USE LUBRICANT ON THE THREADS BETWEEN THE IGNITION LEAD AND THE SPARK IGNITER. DAMAGE TO
 THE IGNITER CAN OCCUR.
 1)  Put the ignition lead in the spark igniter. a) Make sure you do not side load the ceramic insulator.
