FLIGHT RECORDER SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
EFFECTIVITY
Airplanes with Sundstrand Universal Flight Data Recorder (UFDR)
1. General
A. This procedure consists of both an operational and a system test of the Flight Recorder System. The operational test is a confidence test of major units only, while the system test checks the entire flight recorder system including all input parameters.
B. There are four major components that make up the flight recorder system. These components are:
(1)
Universal Flight Data Recorder (UFDR)
(2)
Accelerometer
(3)
Trip and Date Encoder
(4)
Flight Recorder Test Module
2. Operational Test - Flight Recorder System
A. Referenced procedures
(1) 24-22-0, Maintenance Practices (Apply Power)
B. Prepare for Test
(1)
Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0)
NOTE: During the operational test the airplane engines should not be running.
(2)
Check that the following circuit breakers are closed:
(a)
FLT REC-AC, FLT REC-DC on P18-2.
(b)
Master Caution indicators on P6-3.
(c)
Indicator Lights Master Dimming Bus on P6-3.
