Increase radio altitude to 600 feet. Check that PULL UP indicators remain on, and that aural warning changes to a repetition of TERRAIN.

Increase barometric altitude to 5400 feet. Check that warnings go off.

 

(4)  
Test Descent in Wrong Configuration

(a)  
Set landing flaps to 10 degrees and simulate a radio altitude of 750 feet. Check that no warning occurs.

(b)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 400 feet at a rate not greater than 1000 feet per minute. Check that PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TOO LOW GEAR come on.

(c)  
On GUN B-2501 thru B-2503 and B-2511 thru B-2516, set landing gear lever to DN position. Check that warnings go off.

(d)  
On GUN B-2504, B-2505, B-2509, B-2510 and XIA B-2524, perform the following: 1) Set FLAP/GEAR INHIBIT switch to the INHIBIT position. Check that all warnings

cease.
2) Set landing gear lever to DN position.
3) Set FLAP/GEAR INHIBIT switch to the NORMAL position.


(e)  
Using pitot static test set, simulate 0.3 mach by apply static pressure (Ps) of 20.58 In. Hg. and total pressure (Pt) of 21.90 In. Hg. Check that no warning occurs.

(f)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 200 feet. Check that PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TOO LOW TERRAIN come on.

(g)  
Increase radio altitude to 850 feet. Check that warnings go off.

(h)  
Simulate a 0.4 mach (Ps of 20.58 In. Hg. and Pt of 22.97 In. Hg.). Check that no warning occurs.

(i)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 700 feet. Check that PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TOO LOW TERRAIN come on.

(j)  
Increase radio altitude to 1100 feet. Check that warnings go off.

(k)  
Simulate a 0.6 mach (Ps of 20.58 In. Hg. and Pt of 26.25 In. Hg.). Check that no warning occurs.

(l)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 900 feet. Check that PULL UP indicators and aural warning consist of TOO LOW TERRAIN come on.

(m)  
Increase radio altitude to 1100 feet. Check that warnings go off.

(n)  
Simulate a 0.2 mach (Ps of 20.58 In. Hg. and Pt of 21.16 In. Hg.). Check that no warning occurs.

(o)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 180 feet at a rate not greater than 1000 feet per minute. Check that PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TOO LOW FLAPS come on.

(p)  
Set FLAP (FLAP/GEAR) INHIBIT switch on first officer's instrument panel to INHIBIT position. Check that warnings go off.

(q)  
Increase radio altitude to 750 feet, and set FLAP (FLAP/GEAR) INHIBIT switch to NORMAL position. Check that no warning occurs.

(r)  
Repeat Step (o).

(s)  
Set landing flaps to 30 degrees. Check that warnings go off.

Test Glide Slope (GS) Deviation Warning NOTE: The G/S warning referred to from here on consists of BELOW G/S warning

indicator and a GLIDE SLOPE aural warning. The PULL UP and INOP indicators remain of.
(a)  
Simulate a radio altitude of 750 feet.

(b)  
Tune VHF NAV-1 to a localizer frequency.

(c)  
Using the signal generator, apply a 0 GS deviation signal. Check that no warning occurs.

(d)  
Apply a more than 2.5-dot fly-up deviation signal. Check that G/S warning comes on with a soft voice.

(e)  
Set landing gear lever to OFF position check that G/S Warning goes off.

(f)  
Set landing gear lever to DN position. Slowly reduce radio altitude to 250 feet. Check that G/S warning comes on, changing from a soft voice to a loud voice at approximately 300 feet.

(g)  
Reduce radio altitude to 0 feet. Check that G/S warning goes off.

(h)  
Increase radio altitude to 200 feet. Check that G/S warning comes on with a loud voice.

(i)  
Reduce glide slide deviation signal until warning goes off.

(j)  
Slowly increase glide slope deviation signal. Check that G/S warning comes on with a soft voice at 1 dot to 1.6 dot fly-up deviation.

(k)  
Increase glide slope deviation signal until the loud voice comes on. Press captain's and first officer's BELOW G/S indicator. Check that G/S warning goes off.
