R E. Warning Generation and Inhibition
R (1) Audio Output
R Alert outputs result in an audio voice warning unless inputs are
R invalid or one of the audio suppression discretes is active. The
R actual output message, or intended message during audio suppression,
R is sent to the warning lamp logic for proper output activation.
R The audio outputs consist of a transformer isolated 600 Ohm output.
R Aural warnings and their priority rate are as follows:

R The voice warning circuits also contain logic elements which ensure
R that:
R - only one message at a time is output,
R - higher priority messages interrupt lower priority messages except
R if interleaving is allowed (Ref. table above),
R - a triggered message is completed even when warning condition
R ceases,
R - a 0.75 second pause exists between warning messages.

R (2) Alert discrete outputs
R "PULL UP"audio message activate the warning lamp output (which
R illuminates PULL UP red legend).
R All other messages activate the alert lamp output (which illuminates
R GPWS amber legend).
