A. Installation of the VOR/DME RMI
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (3) and (4).

(4)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct
condition.
(5)
Connect the electrical connector (4) to the VOR/DME RMI (2).
(6)
Install the VOR/DME RMI (2) in its housing.
(7) Tighten the screws (1). Subtask 34-57-22-865-052
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 12FN, 8FP, 4LF

C. Test of the VOR/DME RMI
(1)
Do the BITE test of the IR1 and IR3 systems (but read only the heading value on the RMI). (Ref. TASK 34-14-00-740-001)
(2)
Do the operational test of the instrument and panel integral lighting (Ref. TASK 33-13-00-710-001).
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1)
Install the thermoformed cover on the center instrument panel.
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

A. Removal of the VOR/ADF/DME RMI
(1)
Loosen the screws (1), do not remove them.
(2)
Disengage the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (2) from its housing.
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connector (4).
(4)
Remove the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (2).
(5)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors (3) and (4).
