R B. Do the Optical QAR Software Load Procedure
NOTE : The messages XXXXX, XXXXXXXX and VX.X on the OQAR display in this____ procedure is each X written for a hex number.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. On the QAR:
-Open the recorder access door.
-If a data disk installed in the disk drive push the EJECT button.
-Put the Bootable Application Disk into the disk drive and immediately push and hold the SET button.
-If the message **BAD DISK does not comes on, push and hold the SET button, + button and -button at the same time.
-Continue hold down the SET button and release the + button and the - button.
On the QAR:
On the display:
-While the disk ejects the messageEJECTING comes into view.
-After the disk ejects the message INSERT DISK comes into view.
On the display:
-The message **BAD DISK comes intoview.
-After approximately 1 minute the message BOOTABLE OPTICAL comes into view.
On the display:
-After approximately 1 minute themessage BOOTABLE OPTICAL comes into view.
NOTE : If the message ** BAD DISK does not comes on, alternate you can
____ de-energize the OQAR from the electrical power for 5 seconds. While re-energizing the SET button must be pushed.

-After the message BOOTABLE On the display: OPTICAL comes into view, - The message FEPROM VX.X comes into release the SET button. view.
-After approximately 2 minutes the massage PREERASE XXXXX comes into view.
NOTE : The message PREERASE with a hex number shows and the hex number
____ decrements from 80000 to 0000. Then then message ERASE with a hex number shows and the hex number decrements from 80000 to 0000. At least it shows the message WRITE and the hex number decrements from
80000 to 0000.
On the display: - After approximately 30 minutes the message SUM XXXXXXXX OK? comes into view.
- Push the SET push button. On the disk drive: - The Bootable Application Disk ejects.
On the display: - The message INSERT DISK comes into view.
- Put a Data Disk into the disk drive. On the display:- While the disk drive initiates the
data disk the message DISK DETECTED comes into view.
- After the disk drive has the data
disk initiated the message OQAR READY comes into view.
- Push the MODE button to get access to the main menu.
- Push the + or - button until the S/W VERSION indicates on the display. On the display:- The message S/W VERSION comes intoview.
- Push the SET button. On the display: - The software Partnumber and Version
indicates.
