The access estimates include the opening and closing of access panels and doors, removal and installation of lining, insulation blankets, floor panels, fuel tank purging, etc.
The estimates are for direct labor only and are based on best judgement factors, assuming personnel are experienced and all required equipment and tooling is readily available.  They do not include set-up, planning, familiarization, tool acquisition or lost time.  Therefore, operators should factor these estimates, as necessary, based on their own experience.
Since manhour and elapsed times include access and restoration time for each SSI inspection option, those inspection requirements which can be performed concurrently or consecutively in the same area will result in manhour and elapsed time reductions.

7.1.5 SSI Example Explanation
The following explains the data found on the SSI Form (see Page 7.0.3).  The EXAMPLE does not apply to any particular SSI in this document. This example presents typical information that may be found on different SSI forms and is for purposes of illustration only.
[1]  Alpha-numerical identifier and Inspection Instructions for the SSI
.
Alphabetical portion:
W = Wing
F = Fuselage
E = Empennage
L = Flap

.
Numerical portion: This number represents a specific structural member(s) within the general area described by the alphabetical portion of the identifier.

Example:
The SSI W-XX identifies the following structure:
W = Wing
XX = Wing, Center Section Front Spar, Lower Chord and Skin

.
Section 8.0 and 11.0 list all SSIs by identifier and title.

[2]  TITLE:     A brief description of the SSI.
