OVERWING FILL PORTS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two overwing fill ports, one in each main tank.
B. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is to remove the overwing fill port. The second task is to install the overwing fill port.

(1)
Remove the main tank access door, 541JB or 641JB (AMM 28-11-01/401).

Purge the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

CAUTION:_______PUT MAINTENANCE MATS IN THE AREAS WHERE YOU WORK. IF YOU DO NOT USE MAINTENANCE MATS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO WING PANELS.

Put maintenance mats in the areas where work is done.
(4)
Open the filler cap on the overwing fill port.

(5)
Disconnect the lanyard on the filler cap from the lug on the retaining nut.
(6)
Remove the lockwire from the retaining nut and the wing structure.
