(6) Steam Nozzle - Trigger T-Jet, Spraying Systems Co., Bellwood, Illinois or equivalent
NOTE: It is recommended that the teflon
____ bushing supplied with this nozzle be replaced with a locally made brass bushing. The nozzle is made to have a source of saturated steam and a source of cold water attached. Each supply is adjusted by a set of valves to keep a spray of approximately 100 psi, with a temperature of not more than 150°F, 6 inches from the nozzle end.

S 657-025
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (AMM 28-26-00/201).

(2)
Drain and purge the fuel tank for entry (AMM 28-11-00/201).

(3)
Remove all the main, center or surge tank access doors in the area to be cleaned (AMM 28-11-01/401, AMM 28-11-02/401, AMM 28-11-03/401).

Remove the drain valve of the fuel sump (AMM 28-11-05/401).

Remove the fuel tank equipment, support brackets, and substructure as necessary for access.

(6)
Start to clean at the outboard end of the fuel tank, and work to the tank access door and the openings of the drain valves.
