(a)
If there is light surface corrosion, rub the surface with fine abrasive paper or cloth to remove the corrosion.
CAUTION: REFER TO THE STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL TO CALCULATE IF THE
_______ STRUCTURE IS WEAK. CORROSION CAN MAKE THE STRUCTURE WEAK.
(b) If you cannot fully remove the corrosion with the abrasive paper or cloth, use a mechanical removal method such as dry abrasive blasting with glass beads to remove below surface pits (Ref Structural Repair Manual).

Do a check for damaged sealant in the fuel tank. Repair if it is necessary (AMM 28-11-00/801).

Do a check for damage to the corrosion resistant finish in the fuel tank, or for corrosion resistant finish that is not there. Repair if it is necessary.

Install all substructure, support brackets, and fuel tank equipment which was removed.
