XFER (Transfer Fail) - shows when the software installation is not completed. Open and close the circuit breaker for the component, and start the installation again.
(f)
R/W (Read/Write) - shows when the ADL cannot read or write the data on the disk. Open and close the circuit breaker for the component, and start the installation again. If the problem continues, then replace the disk.
(g)
HRDW (Hardware) - shows when the ADL fails the self test.

(2) S 862-004Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201). (a) Make sure that the power is not removed while you install software.
NOTE:____ A power interruption will cause a failure of the software installation.
(3) S 862-005Make sure that the system select switch on the data loader control panel (P21, P23 or P37) ) is set to the NORM position.
(4) S 862-006Open this circuit breaker: (a) On the circuit breaker panel, P18: 1) AIRBORNE DATA LOADER
(5) S 012-007To open the ADL front cover, pull at the top edge.
(6) S 862-008Push the eject button on the ADL. (a) If a plastic protective disk is ejected from the disk drive, then remove it.
(7) S 862-009Close this circuit breaker: (a) On the P18 panel: 1) AIRBORNE DATA LOADER
(8) S 862-010Wait until all the status lights are off.
NOTE:____ The status lights will flash on and off while the ADL does a self test.
(9) S 862-011Make sure that the circuit breakers are closed for the applicable component or system that will receive the new software.
