(4) S 432-032Remove all of the conductive dust caps and the connector covers from the unit to be installed.
NOTE:____ Make sure you do not touch the electrical pins.
(5) S 402-042Install the ESDS unit with the applicable Removal/Installation procedure.

1. General_______
A. General
(1) Refer to the Figures that Follow for the Torque Data.
(a)
The torque values shown in Fig. 202 give data for the correct quantity of pressure necessary to tighten fasteners. Some fasteners have threads that are lubricated. Some fasteners have threads that are not lubricated. The values which are necessary to tighten the fastener by the nut or by the bolt are also supplied.
(b)
If it is necessary to use an adapter, a corrected torque wrench value is necessary. Follow the examples in Fig. 201 to find the corrected torque wrench value T1 when you use an adapter.
(c)
The minimum torque necessary to turn the self-lock mechanism of the nuts and the nutplates must be the value shown in Fig. 203. If the nut turns too easily or turns too hard when you install the nut on the bolt, refer to Fig. 203 to do a test of the nut.
(d)
Torque values for Reduced Head Bolts are given on Fig. 204.
(e)
Torque values for Rigid Tube Coupling Connectors are on Fig. 205.
(f)
Torque values are given in Fig. 206 for Pipe Thread Fittings.
