C. Procedure
S 214-010
(1) Prior to hose installation do visual check of the hose assembly to determine its condition.
(a)
Look at the hose, fittings, sealing surfaces and outer covering for damage.
(b)
Do the following if you find broken wires in the outer covering: 1) Put a tag on the hoses that have isolated or random broken
wires.
NOTE: This is to identify the hoses for future
____
inspections.
2) Do not use the hose if two or more wires in one plait are broken, or if several wires are broken in a concentrated area.

Make sure all fittings are clean and free of defects. S 644-003

Lubricate the external threads if it is necessary. S 424-004

Put the hose in its position and tighten the fittings with your hand.

Make sure the hose is correctly aligned and is the correct length.
