(5) Look at the tags to make sure the tubes are aligned with the correct port fittings.

Align the tube and fitting by hand and put the tube end at the bottom of the fitting.

Hold the tube end at the bottom and align the fitting. Tighten the B-nut by hand until the B-nut touches the sleeve shoulder.

Hold the union with a wrench and tighten the tubing assembly. Then tighten the B-nut to the recommended value (Fig. 403).
NOTE: Do not use the B-nut to align the tube or let the B-nut go to
____
the bottom.

(9) Use your hand to tighten nuts you cannot get access to with a wrench. Tighten until the torque increases. Then tighten the nut 1/6 to 1/3 (one or two hex flats) turns more.

CAUTION:_______THE CLAMPS MUST ALWAYS BE TIGHT. THIS HELPS KEEP UNWANTED MATERIALS AND CONTAMINATION OFF OF THE TUBE AND THE CLAMP SURFACES. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THESE SURFACES BE KEPT AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT ABRASION.
(10) Tighten all the tube clamps.
NOTE: After you torque the BACS13AP sleeves, the tube must not
____ decrease the initial tube diameter by more than 0.015 inch (Fig. 402).

(11) If you disconnected more than one hydraulic tube and you think there is a possibility you connected the tubes incorrectly or cross-connected the tubes, do an operational check:
NOTE: Use your own judgement to determine if a check is necessary.

(a) Do the post-installation test of one or more of the components to which the tubes are connected as a check.

(12) If you disconnected electrical wires to get access to the hydraulic tubes and you think there is a possibility that you connected the wires incorrectly or cross-connected the wires, do an operational check:

(a) Do the post-installation test of one or more of the components in the system which uses the wires as a check.

(13) Do a leak test:
(a)
Pressurize the system for a minimum of 15 minutes.
(b)
With the system pressurized, rub the tube and fittings with a clean white cloth to find leakage.
NOTE: You can tighten the tube again to the torque value
____ specified above, if you find leakage. If leakage occurs in subsequent leak tests, you must replace appropriate parts.
