- connect the units one by one until the circuit breaker 14CC2 opens again
- replace the related unit: for LRU 4CC: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-23-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-23-51-400-001) for LRU 10CC: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-400-001) for LRU 3CC2: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-400-001) for LRU 2CC: (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-17-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-17-400-001).
(b) If this circuit breaker opens again:
- do a check for a short to ground between the circuit breaker 14CC2 and the four units, (Ref. ASM 22-67/01).
1 If there is a short to ground:
_ - repair the related wiring.
2 If there is no short to ground:
_
- replace the C/B-AUTO FLT/FAC 2/26VAC (14CC2).
(2) Connect all the units.

A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the AFS without rudder trim control switch (9CC) operation (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 1.
(2) Do the operational test of the AFS (turn the rudder trim-control switch (9CC) in one direction) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 1.
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the first test only gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- replace the FAC-1 (1CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the CTL SW-RUDDER TRIM (9CC).

B. If the second test only gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- replace the FAC-1 (1CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the CTL SW-RUDDER TRIM (9CC).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the RUD TR R NO SW MON or RUD TR L NO SW MON discretes from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the rudder trim-control switch (9CC), (Ref. ASM 22-68/03).
C. If the two tests give the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ground signal at the rudder trim control switch (9CC) pin 3 (Ref. ASM 22-68/03).
D. Do the tests given in Para. 3.
