 3. Fault Confirmation
__________________
 A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

 B. Test
 (1) Do the operational test of the rudder trim function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-62-00-710-001).
 (a) If the circuit breaker 15CC is open refer to Para. 4.B.
 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If the circuit breaker 15CC is closed, and if no indication shows in the rudder trim indicator:
 - do a check for 28VDC at the rudder trim indicator (17CC).
 (1) If there is 28VDC:
 - replace the IND-RUDDER TRIM (17CC).

 CES  (2) If there is no 28VDC:


 - do a check of the wiring of the 28VDC signal from the circuit breaker (15CC) to the rudder trim indicator (17CC)

 - do a check of the wiring of the ground signal at the rudder trim indicator (17CC) pin A/F. (Ref. ASM 22-67/01).


 (a) If there is no continuity:

 - repair the above wirings.

 (b) If there is continuity:


 - replace the C/B-AUTO FLT/RUDDER/TRIM/IND (15CC).
 B. If the circuit breaker 15CC is open:
 - close this circuit breaker.
 (1) If the circuit breaker 15CC opens again:
 - replace the IND-RUDDER TRIM (17CC).
 (a) If the fault continues:
 - do a check for a short to ground between the circuit breaker (15CC) and the rudder trim indicator (17CC) (Ref. ASM 22-67/01).
 1_ If there is a short to ground:
 - repair the above wiring.
 2_ If there is no short to ground:

 - replace the C/B-AUTO FLT/RUDDER/TRIM/IND (15CC).
 C. Do the test given in Para. 3.

 CES  Rudder Trim Indicator Inoperative

 - IND-RUDDER TRIM (17CC)

 - wiring of the FAC 1 bus from the rudder-trim indicator (17CC) to the first terminal block

 - wiring of the FAC 2 bus from the rudder-trim indicator (17CC) to the first terminal block

 A. Test
 (1) Do the operational test of the rudder trim function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-62-00-710-001).
 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If the values shown on the rudder-trim indicator do not agree with the rudder movement indication on the lower ECAM DU (with the FAC 1 engaged):
 - replace the IND-RUDDER TRIM (17CC).
 (1) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the FAC 1 bus from the rudder-trim indicator (17CC) to the first terminal block, (Ref. ASM 22-69/01).
 B. If the values shown on the rudder-trim indicator do not agree with the rudder movement indication on the lower ECAM DU (with the FAC 2 engaged):
 - replace the IND-RUDDER TRIM (17CC).
 (1) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the FAC 2 bus from the rudder-trim indicator (17CC) to the first terminal block, (Ref. ASM 22-69/01).
 C. Do the test given in Para. 3.

 Reset of the Rudder Trim Inoperative
 1. Possible Causes
_______________
 - FAC-1 (1CC1)

 - ACTUATOR-RUDDER TRIM (10CC)


 - FAC-2 (1CC2) R - electronic module
 - wiring of the RUD TR ORDER and the RUD TR ACT VALID discretes from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the rudder trim actuator (10CC)
