(1) Do the Ground Scanning of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-91-00-710-001).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance message:
AFS: RUD TR RST 8CC (ISSUED BY: FAC1):
- replace the FAC-1 (1CC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
R (1) If the fault continues:
R
R - replace the electronic module of the rudder trim actuator (10CC)
R (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-400-R 002).

(2) If the fault continues:
- replace the ACTUATOR-RUDDER TRIM (10CC) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-400-001).
(3) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the RUD TR ORDER and the RUD TR ACT VALID discretes from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the rudder trim actuator (10CC) (Ref. ASM 22-68/03).
B. If the test gives the maintenance message: AFS: RUD TR RST 8CC (ISSUED BY: FAC2):
- replace the FAC-2 (1CC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the ACTUATOR-RUDDER TRIM (10CC) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-22-51-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the RUD TR ORDER and the RUD TR ACT VALID discretes from the FAC 2 (1CC2) to the rudder trim actuator (10CC) (Ref. ASM 22-68/03).
C. Do the test given in Para. 3.

A. If the test gives the maintenance message AFS: CHECK FAC1 RT:
- do the Ground Scanning of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-91-00-710-001). R
R (1) If the test gives a different message, do the trouble shooting R procedure related to the maintenance message.
(2) If the test does not gives the maintenance message, or if the fault continues:
- do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001)
and read the results for the FAC 1 and the FMGC 1. R
R (a) If the test gives a different message, do the trouble shooting R procedure related to the maintenance message.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
