- on word 5, make sure that the fourth number is equal to: . 8 or 9 or A or B or C or D or E or F (on the command and monitoring channels).
(1) If the fourth number is not equal to the above values on the command channel:
- do a check of the wiring of the AP OWN ENGD COM OPP discrete from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) (from pin AA/14B to pin AB/3G)
- do a check of the wiring of the AP OWN ENGD COM OWN discrete from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) (from pin AB/10D to pin AB/3E) (Ref. ASM 22-85/03).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the above wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- replace the FCU (2CA) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:

- do a check and repair the wiring of the CMD 1 SW COM discrete from the FCU (2CA) to the FMGC 1 (1CA1) (Ref. ASM 22-85/03).
(2) If the fourth number is not equal to the above values on the monitor channel:
- do a check of the wiring of the AP OWN ENGD MON OPP discrete from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) (from pin AD/14D to pin AE/3G)
- do a check of the wiring of the AP OWN ENGD MON OWN discrete from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) (from pin AE/12G to pin AE/3E) (Ref. ASM 22-85/03).
(a) If there is no continuity:
- repair the above wiring.
(b) If there is continuity:
- replace the FCU (2CA) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-400-001).
