3. Fault Confirmation

WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
_______ ARE CLEAR BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE/DEPRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
A. Job Set-Up
(1) Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b) Pressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

C. Test
(1) Open the circuit breaker 5CC2.
(2) After a minimum of 10 seconds, close the circuit breaker 5CC2.
(3) After 2 minutes, do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 2.
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/YD ACTR2 3CC2: R R - open the circuit breakers 5CC2 and 14CC2, R - remove the FAC-2 (1CC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and disconnect R the plug at the YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator 2, R - do a check of the wiring between respectively:
R . The pins AF/4 and AF/6 of the FAC2 and the pins A/E and A/D of the
R YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator,2,
R . The pins AC/4 and AC/6 of the FAC2 and the pins B/A and B/B of the
R YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator,2.

R (1) If the wiring is not correct:
R - repair it.
R (2) If the wiring is correct:
R - connect the above mentioned plug,
R - do a check of the impedance between respectively:
R . the pin AC/4 and the pin AC/6,
R . then the pin AF/4 and the pin AF/6 of the FAC-2 rack connector.
R NOTE : The impedance must be more than 40 Ohms.

R (a) If the impedance is correct:
R - replace the FAC-2 (1CC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
R (b) If the impedance is not correct:
R - replace the solenoid valve 1 or 2 of the SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER,
R 2 (3CC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK
R 27-26-51-400-003),
R - install the above removed FAC-2 (1CC2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-
