The PC software has been conceived to offer all the tuning capabilities required to program the parameters of a
scan by transmission . The screen ( see figure) displays clearly all the values of the operation .

COMPOSITE THICKNESS CALIBRATION SPECIMENS IN THE ELISA KIT
It is possible to offer the ELISA with a
complementary part of essential parts as a kit of carbon
part thickness specimens to allow easy calibration of
signals in terms of thickness.
The specimens made of laminates of carbon plies are
specified in ply numbers.
Each laminate specimen represents the structure as it
could appear to the operator:
- plain carbon,
- carbon with paint primary,
- carbon with paint,
- carbon with bronze grid.
Also sandwich specimens represent a structure with a
central debonding defect.
Two specimens are delivered painted, with and without
bronze metallisation grid

CARBON STRUCTURE THICKNESS CALIBRATION SPECIMENS
The Kit is built as a formidable set of carbon structure thickness specimens to allow reliable calibration of
ultrasonic signal characteristics in order to interpret nature and position of damages .
During the process of damage assessment by ultrasonic evaluation, it is necessary to produce a reference for
the position and amplitude signal for the back echo. This reference will serve for the interpretation of the
position and amplitude of the actual signal send back by the structure analysed.
Thus, the necessity to provide part specimens representative of the thicknesses met on composite structures
of aircrafts.
In this respect, the specimens are manufactured with materials as the ones used on the usual structures :
