To put the mask :
• maintain the red grips squeezed,
• fit the mask over your face,
• and release the red grips to secure the fit.
The harness deflates, fitting the mask tightly.

When the MASK MAN ON guarded pb located on the
OXYGEN panel is in the AUTO position, the passenger
oxygen masks automatically deploy if the cabin altitude
exceeds 14,000 feet.
Note : The MASK MAN ON pb can also be used to
deploy the passenger oxygen masks manually.

On the A320, there are three oxygen systems :
• A fixed cockpit oxygen system, with all
the controls located in the cockpit,
• A fixed cabin oxygen system,
• And a portable oxygen system in the
cockpit and the cabin. (For utilization,

Let’s start with the fixed cockpit system.
The pilots oxygen masks are located in a storage box on
both side consoles. Three or four masks are provided,
depending on if the aircraft is equipped with one or two
observer seats.
