(c) Components and parts, which are subject to possible damage from test voltages, must be electrically isolated before performing the test. Then test voltage should be applied between each phase or power line and Seat Shell main static ground stud. On any rerun of the dielectric test, the voltage level may be 80% of the specified above.

Test Set.Up
(a)
Make sure that all connections have been accomplished and the equipments are installed per Wiring Diagram.
(b)
Connect the test harness to Seat Shell connector J3.
(c)
Connect the test harness to Seat Shell connector P01 for reading light.
(5)
Proximity Lights
(a) Attach 6 VDC power supply, turn on and make sure the 2 proximity lights are illuminated.

Reading Light
(a)
With the power supply OFF, connect 6 VDC (+) and 6 VDC (.) to pin 1 and pin 2 of connector P01 respectively.
(b)
Turn on 6 VDC power supply.
(c)
Touch the switch momentary on the LED reading light assembly.
(d)
Verify the light is on and in bright mode.
(e)
Touch the switch momentary on the LED reading light assembly again.
(f)
Verify the light is on and in DIM mode.
(g)
Touch the switch momentary on the LED reading light assembly again.
(h)
Verify the light is off.
(7)
Test Completion
(a) Turn off all power supplies and test apparatus and disconnect.

B. Mechanical Tests of Shell Assemblies
(1) Worktable
(a)
Pull the worktable to unlock it and lower to the deployed position. The table must unlock smoothly with low force application. Worktable must pivot freely without binding and deploy at 87o from stowed position.
(b)
The worktable is extendable. Pull the sliding worktable out to the extended position, then push back to the retracted position. The sliding worktable must extend and retract 3.0 in (76 mm) without binding.
(c)
Lift worktable to the stowed position and push it against the seat panel. The worktable must keep locked on both plungers with low force application.
3. TROUBLE SHOOTING
When operational or test troubles are evident, refer to Table 1002 for determination of trouble sources and necessary corrective procedures. After accomplishing necessary remedial actions, repeat test procedures to make sure that component functions properly.
