CHECK
1. VISUAL CHECK
A. Visually inspect all hardware, piece parts, minor assemblies and sub.assemblies. A strong light and preferably some means of magnification is necessary.
B. Visually check for missing, loose or broken parts and hardware.
2. CHECKS
A. Proper reassembly and adjustment of a seat assembly precludes any additional checks. However, prior to disassembly or following any significant repair, perform the following visual checks, as applicable:
(1)
Check seat assembly for rigidity of mounting hardware.
NOTE: CHECK THE ATTACHMENT OF THE ARMRESTS. IF REQUIRED, RE.TIGHTEN THE SCREWS (TORQUE 10 Nm) AND SECURE WITH LOCKTITE.
(2)
Test Arm Assembly latch to be sure it is latching properly. Adjust as needed until proper latching occurs.
(a)
Remove outboard end bay panel.
(b)
Remove latch lever.
(c)
Hold spring pin on the lower latch assembly and turn the cable nut located in the upper latch assembly, as needed.
(2)
Check all seat functions (recline and upright) for correct action and freedom of operation.
(3)
Check all upholstered areas for condition of fabric and foam, especially nothing looseness, frayed edges, loose seams and correct alignment of tape fastened covers.
NOTE. CHECK ALL TAPES ON THE SEAT BOTTOM CUSHION, BACKREST CUSHION, HEADREST CUSHION AND THE LEGREST CUSHION. RE.ATTACH THE TAPES, IF REQUIRED USING “3M.FASTBOND 10” (V04963) AS PER THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS.

(a)
Loss of heardness in normal use of cushions:
.Bottom and legrest cushions . max 35 %
.Backrest and headrest cushions . max 25 %
(b)
Loss of height in normal use of cushions:
.Bottom and legrest cushions . max 12 %
.Backrest and headrest cushions . max 8 %
(c)
Cushions are not life time limited, however a replacement of cushions is recommended as follows: .Bottom and legrest cushions . 3 years .Backrest and headrest cushions . 4 years
(4)
Check foodtray for security or attachment in stowed position and for correct height and tilt level in the deployed position.
(5)
Check track fitting and track studs for secure attachment to the floor track. Also check for wear or deformation of these parts.
(6)
Check the dimensions.
