C.  Shell Assy (Refer to IPL figure 3)

General This section provides removal and installation instructions for components of the Seat Shell Assemblies, Complete disassembly is not required or recommended. The sequence of disassembly/assembly may be changed to adapt to local conditions.

Procedure (For Illustration Ref Dissasembly)

CAUTION: WHILE PERFOMING MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES, USE CARE TO AVOID DAMAGE TO DECORATIVE SURFACES WITH TOOLS, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT. PERFORM ALL WORK ON A CLEAN PADDED WORK SURFACE. KEEP DECORATIVE SURFACES COVERED WITH AN APPROPRIATE PROTECTIVE COVER.
(a)  Install Deco Panels (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 1)

Install is typical for the following deco panels: Standard Literature Closeout Assembly; Standard Aft Back Shell; S.Shaped Panel; Forward with Eagle; Deco Literature Closeout Panel.
1 Verify that the double.back tape or hook and loop tape is in good condition. Replace if necessary.

2 Align deco panel and press into place.

(b)  Install Deco Panels (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 1)

Install is typical for the following deco panels: Inboard End Bay Assembly; Outboard End Bay Assembly, 1
Verify that the double.back tape or hook and loop tape is in good condition. Replace if necessary.
2  Slide deco panel under arm rest cap trim.
3  Connect electrical wiring to proximity lights, if necessary.
4  Align deco panel and press into place.

5  Gently slip forward end of deco panel under end by cap trim.
(c)  
Install Proximity Light (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 6) 1 Open circuit breakers for seat shells. 2 Slip proximity light through end bay outboard panel. 3 Snap backing plate onto proximity light on the opposite side of the end bay outboard

panel.
4 Connect electrical connector.

 

(d)  
Install End Cap Trim Assembly (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 2) 1 Install 6 screws (5 screws on outboard seats) to install end cap trim assembly. 2 Verify that the double.back tape on the back of the forward deco extrusions are in good

condition. Replace if necessary. 3 Align 2 forward deco extrusions onto forward armrest beam and press into place.
(e)  Install Rear Bumper Assembly (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 2) 1 Align rear bumper assembly onto shell assembly. 2 Engage inboard flange to literature pocket structural assembly. 3 Install 2 screws on outboard rear bumper assembly to secure to shell assembly.
(f)  Install Literature Pocket Structural Assembly (Ref Fig 3001 sheet 1) 1
Align literature pocket structural assembly in shell assembly.
