DISASSEMBLY
1. GENERAL
A. This section contains special instructions and notes needed to prevent damage to components and possible injury to persons during disassembly of the seat assy.
B. Complete disassembly of the seat assy is neither anticipated nor recommended. The degree of disassembly carried out should not be more than necessary. To use this section, first refer to chapter TESTING AND TROUBLE SHOOTING and CHECK to identify the damaged and worn parts. Then refer to para 2 for special disassembly instructions.
C. Refer to chapter REPAIR to replace all bonded components, adhesive.backed placards, electrical wiring, and potted inserts.
D. No special tools, fixtures or equipment are required for disassembly of seat assemblies. Refer to chapter REPAIR for adhesives and potting compounds.
CAUTION: MOVING OR TRANSPORTING THE SEAT ASSEMBLIES BY SLIDING THEM ACROSS FLOOR SURFACES WILL DAMAGE THE TRACK ATTACHING FITTINGS OR MOUNTING SURFACES BY THE ABRASIVE REMOVAL OF METAL FROM THESE CRITICAL AREAS.
CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE RIVET.MOUNTED ASSEMBLIES OR COMPONENT PARTS UNLESS DAMAGE NECESSITATES REPLACEMENT OF AN AVAILABLE PART. REPEATED REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF RIVETS WILL CAUSE FATIGUE OF THE ADJACENT MATERIAL. DAMAGE IN THESE AREAS WILL NORMALLY REQUIRE REPLACEMENT OF THE NEXT HIGHER ASSY. REFER TO THE ILLUSTRATED PARTS LIST WHICH HAS A COMPLETE ENUMERATION OF THE AVAILABLE PARTS.
