(g)
Procedures for the execution of balked landings and missed approaches associated with the conditions prescribed in Secs. 25.119 and 25.121(d) must be established.

(h)
Theprocedures established underparagraph(f) and(g) of this section must–

(1)
Be able to be consistently executed in service by crews of average skill;

(2)
Use methods or devices that are safe and reliable; and

(3)
Include allowanceforany timedelays,inthe executionof theprocedures,that may reasonably be expected in service.

(i)
[The accelerate-stop and landing distances prescribed in Secs. 25.109 and 25.125, respectively, must be determined with all the airplane wheel brake assemblies at the fully worn limit of their allowable wear range.]

FAR25.103 :[Stall speed.]
(a) [The reference stall speed, VSR, is a calibrated airspeed de.ned by the applicant. VSR may not be less than a 1-g stall speed. VSR is expressed as :
VCLMAX
VSR ≥√
nzW
where : VCLMAX = Calibrated airspeed obtained when the load factor-corrected
()
nzW W
lift coe.cient is .rst a maximum during the maneuver prescribed in
qS
paragraph(c)of this section.In addition, when the maneuverislimited by adevice that abruptly pushes the nose down at a selected angle of attack (e.g., a stick pusher), VCLMAX may not be less than the speed existing at the instant the device operates;
nzW : Load factor normal to the .ight path at VCLMAX ;
W : Airplane gross weight;

S : Aerodynamic reference wing area; and

q : Dynamic pressure.

(b)
VCLMAX is determined with :

(1)
Engines idling, or, if that resultant thrust causes an appreciable decrease in stall speed, not morethan zerothrust atthe stall speed;

(2)
Propellerpitch controls(if applicable) inthetakeo.position;

(3)
Theairplaneinotherrespects(such as .apsandlandinggear)inthecondition existing in the test or performance standard in which VSR isbeing used;

(4)
The weight used when VSR is being used as a factor to determine compliance with a requiredperformance standard;

(5)
The center ofgravityposition that resultsin thehighest value of reference stall speed; and

(6)
The airplane trimmed for straight .ight at a speed selected by the applicant, but not less than 1.13VSR and not greater than 1.3VSR.

(c)
Starting from the stabilized trim condition, apply the longitudinal control to de-celerate the airplane so that the speed reduction does not exceed one knot per second.

(d)
In additiontothe requirementsofparagraph(a) of this section, when adevicethat abruptlypushesthe nosedownataselected angleof attack(e.g., astickpusher)is installed, the reference stall speed, VSR, may notbelessthan2knots or2percent, whichever is greater, above the speed at which the device operates.]

Amdt. 25-108, E.. 12/26/2002
FAR 25.105 : Takeo..
(a) The takeo. speeds described in Sec. 23.107, the accelerate-stop distance described in Sec. 25.109, the takeo. path described in Sec. 25.111, and the takeo. distance and takeo. run described in Sec. 25.113, must be determined–
(1)
At each weight, altitude, and ambient temperature within the operational li-mits selected by the applicant; and

(2)
In the selected con.guration for takeo..

Subpart B : Flight
(b)
No takeo. made to determine the data required by this section may require excep-tional piloting skill or alertness.

(c)
The takeo. data must be based on–

(1)
[In the case of land planes andamphibians :

(i)
Smooth, dry and wet, hard-surfaced runways; and

(ii)
At the option of the applicant, grooved or porous friction course wet, hard-surfaced runways.]
