(2)
Two reversepressuredi.erentialrelief valves(ortheir equivalents)to automati-callyprevent a negativepressuredi.erential that woulddamage the structure. One valveis enough,however,ifitis of adesignthatreasonablyprecludesits malfunctioning.

(3)
A means by which the pressure di.erential can be rapidly equalized.

(4)
An automatic or manualregulatorfor controlling theintake or exhaust air.ow, or both, for maintaining the required internal pressures and air.ow rates.

(5)
Instrumentsatthepilot or .ight engineerstationtoshowthepressuredi.eren-tial, the cabin pressure altitude, and the rate of change of the cabin pressure altitude.

(6)
Warning indication at the pilot or .ight engineer station to indicate when the safe or preset pressure di.erential and cabin pressure altitude limits are exceeded. Appropriate warning markings on the cabin pressure di.erential indicator meetthe warning requirementforpressuredi.erentiallimits and an aural or visual signal(in addition to cabin altitudeindicating means) meets thewarning requirementforcabinpressurealtitudelimitsifit warnsthe .ight crew when the cabin pressure altitude exceeds 10,000 feet.

(7)
Awarningplacard atthepilotor .ightengineerstationif thestructureisnot designed for pressure di.erentials up to the maximum relief value setting in combination with landing loads.

(8)
Thepressure sensors necessary to meetthe requirements ofparagraphs(b)(5) and(b)(6) of this section andSec.25.1447(c), mustbelocated and the sen-sing system designed so that, in the event of loss of cabin pressure in any passenger or crew compartment(including upper andlowerlobegalleys),the warning and automaticpresentationdevices, requiredby thoseprovisions, will be actuated without any delay that would signi.cantly increase the hazards resulting from decompression.

Subpart D : Design and Construction
FAR 25.843 : Tests for pressurized cabins.
(a)
Strength test. The completepressurized cabin, including doors, windows and valves, must be tested as a pressure vessel for the pressure di.erential speci.ed in Sec. 25.365(d).

(b)
Functional tests. The following functional tests must be performed :

(1)
Tests of the functioning and capacity of the positive and negative pressure di.erential valves, and of the emergency release valve, to simulate the e.ects of closed regulator valves.

(2)
Tests of thepressurizationsystemto showproperfunctioning under eachpos-sible condition of pressure, temperature, and moisture, up to the maximum altitude for which certi.cation is requested.

(3)
Flight tests, to show the performance of the pressure supply, pressure and .ow regulators, indicators, and warning signals,in steady and stepped climbs and descents at rates corresponding to the maximum attainable within the operating limitations of the airplane, up to the maximum altitude for which certi.cation is requested.

(4)
Tests of each door and emergency exit, to show that they operate properly afterbeing subjected tothe .ighttestsprescribedinsubparagraph(3) of this paragraph.

47.10 Fire Protection
FAR 25.851 : Fire extinguishers.
(a) Hand .re extinguishers.
(1)
[The following minimum number of hand .re extinguishers must be conve-niently located and evenly distributed in passenger compartments :

(2)
At least one hand .re extinguisher must be conveniently located in the pilot compartment.

(3)
At least one readily accessible hand .re extinguisher must be available for use in each Class A or Class B cargo or baggage compartment and in each Class E cargo or baggage compartment that is accessible to crewmembers in .ight.

(4)
Atleast onehand .reextinguishermustbelocatedin, orreadily accessiblefor usein, eachgalley located above orbelowthepassenger compartment.
