(s)
Install screws (15), washers (14), and nuts (13).
(t)
Install tie wrap (19) over wiring harness within 0.140 inch (3,556 mm)from base of connector (6).
(u)
Install plate (2) on one screw (5). Install bracket assembly (7) on connector (6). Secure using screws (5), washers (4), and nuts (3).
(v)
Perform continuity check of wiring harness.
(3)
Apply potting to connector (see Figure 408, Sheet 2, Item 6).
(a)
Position wiring to obtain Dimension A with a 5 to 15 degree bend, and sleeving over wiring inserted to Dimension F in cavity of connector (6).
(b)
Apply adhesive compound, per applicable manual, at rear of connector (6) to completely seal wiring end of connector (6).
(c)
Adhesive compound shall extend to Dimension C, from back of connector (6) where wiring bends, to Dimension B where wiring extends from connector (6).
(d)
Ensure adhesive compound is within Dimension B and Dimension D to completely cover sleeving. The outside dimension of adhesive compound shall not exceed Dimension E.
(e)
Cure adhesive compound as specified in applicable manual.
(4)
Apply potting to connector as follows (see Figure 408, Sheet 2, Item 16).
(a)
Position wiring to obtain Dimension H with a 45 to 60 degree bend, and sleeving over wiring inserted to Dimension K in connector (16).
(b)
Apply adhesive compound, per applicable manual, to back of connector (16).
(c)
Fill cavity of connector (16) around wiring harness until adhesive compound is protruding from back of connector (16) to the thickness of Dimension J.
(d)
Cure adhesive compound as specified in applicable manual.
(e)
Install tie wrap (19) to obtain Dimension G.
(5)
Perform insulation resistance check and dielectric strength check in accordance with applicable manual.

14. Remarking Parts
Prior to cleaning, identifying marks that may be removed by the cleaning and repainting process shall be identified and recorded. Cleaned and repainted part shall be remarked in the same locations using the part’s original method of marking.
A. Method No. 414A: Part Marking Guidelines and Methods
Parts shall be marked/remarked according to the following:
NOTE: Factory marking methods are selected on the basis of the physical properties of the item, degree of performance required, accessibility of the marking location, economics and legibility. The intent is to provide marking that will remain legible for the service life of the item.
(1) When identification markings are lost through rework, repair or normal wear, they should be re-identified using the same criteria as originally used. (Refer to Aerospace Standard No. 478, MIL-STD-130.)
(a)
Electrochemical etch-Adaptable for all metallic parts except small thin or delicate items, items cast of forged surfaces, plated, painted or anodized surfaces and tube assemblies.
