Speed Brake Lever.................................................. CYCLE 
Cycle lever to depressurize hydraulic system. 
IF  Panel Retracts: 
OR  . Continue the flight with the affected system unpressurized. . Plan approach and landing with remaining system operating. . When extending slats, move directly to 15/T.O. EXT. . Spoilers may be armed for landing. . Do not use autobrakes (if installed). . Anticipate a longer landing roll due to loss of 1/3 spoilers. . If right system affected, proceed to ALTERNATE GEAR EXTENSION CHECKLIST, this section. Rudder will revert to manual (maintain a minimum of 135 KIAS until landing is assured).

IF Time Does Not Permit and/or Panel Remains Extended: Hydraulic Pumps...........................................ON, HI, HI, ON Aileron / Rudder Trim .................................. AS REQUIRED Trim aircraft using aileron trim and control wheel displacement. Approximately 100 degrees of control wheel angle is available. Expect to use full aileron trim and up to 70 degrees of control wheel angle at approach speed. Some rudder trim may be required to counteract spoiler drag and aileron trim.

SPOILER / SPEED BRAKE LEVER NOT FULLY DISARMED


Note:  This could be caused by failure of ground spoiler actuator to retract. Red arming placard is partially exposed until ground spoiler actuator is retracted.
IF Autobrakes Installed:
Spoiler / Speed Brake Lever .................... SQUEEZE, OBSERVE

Squeeze lever to retract ground spoiler actuator. Observe position of lever. Lever Fully Disarmed: Continue normal operation.

IF Lever Not Fully Disarmed (All Airplanes):
Caution:  If speedbrake lever is not fully down, the speedbrake aft stop and intermediate notches will not be engaged. Caution should be exercised to ensure lever is not inadvertently moved to full aft position as this would permit speedbrakes to extend to full, 60 degree position.
When speedbrakes are required, pull lever UP and AFT to approximate speedbrake stop position.  Lever must be held in this position as long as speedbrakes are required.

STABILIZER INOPERATIVE

Primary Trim is Normal: 
Continue normal operation.

Alternate Trim is Normal: 
Allow for slower trim rate. Autopilot may be used, as desired.

Neither Trim System Operates: 
Consider stabilizer jammed. 
IF  Flaps are At 28. or 40. and the Aircraft Is On Speed and Trimmed: 
Land with selected flaps. 
OR 
* * * * 
IF  Flaps are At Any Other Setting Or the Aircraft is Not Trimmed: 
Land with flaps 15°. Vref is 15°/T.O. maneuver speed increased by 
increment from the following table.
