(1) If you removed the old key washer (3), install a new key washer (3) on the igniter plug boss (2).
NOTE: It is permitted to use the old keywasher if it is not

damaged.
(a) Bend the tabs of the key washer (3) around the flange of the igniter plug boss (2) to hold the key washer (3).

(2) If you removed the igniter plug boss (2) or classified spacers (1), make sure the thickness is less than the given limits.
NOTE: Do this before you replace the igniter plug boss or

classified spacers.
(a)
Install the classified spacer (1) or spacers on the igniter plug boss (2).
(b)
Measure the total thickness of the parts, as shown in Fig. 401, Dimension A.
(c)
Compare the total thickness of the parts to be installed with the thickness of the removed parts (Dimension A). 1) If the two values are less than 0.015 inch (0.381 mm)
apart, it is not necessary to adjust the classified spacer (1).
