Open the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS,
INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the exciter-to-igniter plug cable (5) (AMM 74-21-01/401).
E. Procedure

(1) Remove the igniter plug:
(a) Hold the igniter plug boss (2) with the crowfoot wrench and loosen the igniter plug (4).
NOTE: Do not remove the lockwire from the igniter plug boss.

CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE THE IGNITER PLUG BOSS AND ITS CLASSIFIED
_______ SPACERS WHEN YOU REMOVE THE IGNITER PLUG. THE CLASSIFIED SPACERS MUST BE USED ONLY WITH THEIR SPECIFIED IGNITER PLUG AND IGNITER PLUG BOSS FOR CORRECT IMMERSION DEPTH. IF THE CLASSIFIED SPACERS ARE DAMAGED OR CAN NOT BE FOUND, THE CLASSIFIED SPACER THICKNESS MUST BE CALCULATED.
(b) Remove the igniter plug (4) from the igniter plug boss (2) on the diffuser case.

(2) If it is necessary to remove the igniter plug boss (2) and the
classified spacers (1), do these steps:
(a) Remove the igniter plug boss (2) and the classified spacers (1).

(b) Measure the removed classified spacers (1), igniter plug boss (2) and key washer (3) as shown in Fig. 401, Dimension A.
NOTE: Make a note of the measured value for reference when you
____ assemble the igniter plugs. Use the measured value to adjust the thickness of the classified spacers if it is necessary.
