(c)  Put a hose clamp (6) on the cable at the ignition exciter end.

 (6)  Put the cable (3) on the engine:
 CAUTION: INSTALL THE CABLE ON THE IGNITER PLUG AND THE IGNITION
_______
 EXCITER IN A STRAIGHT LINE. IF LATERAL FORCE IS
 PERMITTED, THE ENDS OF THE CABLE CAN BE DAMAGED.

 (a)  Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut at the igniter plug end of the cable (3) with antiseize compound.
 NOTE: Do not apply a large quantity of antiseize compound to
____
 the coupling nut threads.

 CAUTION: DO NOT TWIST THE CABLE WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.

 DAMAGE TO THE CABLE CAN OCCUR.

 (b)  
Connect the coupling nut to the igniter plug.

 1)  Make sure that the coupling nut is sufficiently loose to permit the cable (3) to move freely.

 (c)  
Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut at the ignition exciter end of the cable (1 or 3) with antigalling compound, FelPro C300.


 NOTE: Antigalling compound, PWA 550-3 is optional to
____ FelPro C300. Do not apply a large quantity of compound on the coupling nut threads.
 (d)  
Connect the coupling nut to the output connection of the ignition exciter. 1) Make sure that the coupling nut is sufficiently loose to

 permit the cable (3) to move freely.

 (e)  
Tighten the coupling nuts until the bottom of the coupling nuts touch the shoulder of the heat shield.


 NOTE: This torque value is approximately 140-160 pound-inches
____
 (15.8-18.1 newton-meters).

 (7)  Install the heat shields (1, 4, 5, and 9) on the cable (3):
 (a)  
Put the heat shields (4 and 5) on the ignition exciter end of the cable (3).

 (b)  
Hold the heat shields (4 and 5) with the hose clamps (2 and 6) and tighten the clamp screws to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

 (c)  
Put the heat shields (1 and 9) on the igniter plug end of the cable (3).

 (d)  
Bend the tabs of the heat shields (1 and 9) into the groove in the igniter plug boss.

 (e)  
Hold the heat shields (1 and 9) with a hose clamp (2) and tighten the clamp screw to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

 (8)  
Connect the cooling air tube to the cable (3) with a clamp (7).

 (9)  
Install the cable clamp (17) on the cable (3):

 (a)  
Lubricate the threads of a bolt (16) with engine oil.

 (b)  
Install the clamp (7) on the bracket (15) with a bolt (16) and a nut (14) and tighten the bolt (16) to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (10)
 Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (11)
 Close the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 (12) Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

 (13) Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (14) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the applicable cable (3):
 (a)  For the upper cable (3),
