Set the left and right mode selector switches on the IRS MSU to the ATT position.

Make sure the two align lights on the IRS MSU come on.
(b)
Make sure you wait about 30 seconds until the align lights go out.

(8) On the EFIS control panel, set the EHSI mode selector switch to the FULL VOR/ILS position.
C. Test - DME System

(1) Set the VHF NAV control panel MANUAL MODE.
(a)
Make sure that the MANUAL frequency display shows VHF NAV frequency.
(b)
Make sure that the AUTO frequency display is blank.

(2) Set the LIGHTS switch on the P2 panel to TEST.

(3) Make sure the VHF NAV control panel shows these indications:
(a) Both AUTO and MANUAL switch indicators are on.
(b) Both AUTO and MANUAL frequency displays show 188.88 do 2
seconds on and 1 second off.

(4) Set the LIGHTS switch to BRT.

(5) Set to an even frequency other than the local VHF frequency on both
VHF NAV MANUAL frequency displays.
(a) Both RDDMI DME-1 readouts display dashes.
(b) Captain's EHSI displays DME--- (no computed data) in upper
left-hand corner.

(6) Hold the captain's VOR--DME TEST switch to DME and make sure
following sequence occurs on RDDMI:
(a) Make sure both RDDMI DME-1 readouts are flagged for 2 seconds.
(b) Make sure both RDDMI DME-1 readouts display dashes for 2
seconds.
(c) Make sure both RDDMI DME-1 readouts display between 000.0 and
000.5 miles.

(7) Release the captain's VOR--DME TEST switch.

(8) Hold the captain's VOR--DME TEST switch to DME and make sure that
the following sequence occurs on EHSI:
(a) Make sure the Captain's EHSI display is blank for 2 second.
NOTE: Due to the slow response of the EHSI, you may need to____
open DME-1 circuit breaker on P18-1 panel for
verifying the EHSI display blank.
(b) Make sure the Captain's EHSI display dashes for 2 second.
(c) Make sure the Captain's EHSI display 0.0 miles.

(9) Release the captain's VOR--DME TEST switch.
