1. DME System Test_______________
A. General
(1)
This procedure has two tasks. One is an operational test; the other is a system test. The operational test is a fast check of the DME system by the system BITE. The system test first does the operational test. Then, it does a test of the DME's identification reception with external test eqiupment.
(2)
These tests of the DME system No. 1 or 2 use the applicable VHF NAV control panel and DME indications on the captain and first officer RDDMI and EHSI.

_______ TURN ON THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT MAY RESULT. EQUIPMENT COOLING SYSTEM MUST BE SET FOR NORMAL COOLING AS DESCRIBED IN AMM 21-58-03/501.
(2) Provide equipment cooling (AMM 21-58-03/501).
