(a) Disconnect the applicable connector from the selector valve.
(b) Use a multimeter to do a check of the resistance between pins B and C (retract solenoid) and pins D and E (extend solenoid). The resistance must be between 53 ohms and 78 ohms.
(c) Connect pin B to pin C, and pin D to pin E.
(d) Use a 50Vdc Isolation Tester to do a check of the resistance between pin A (electrical ground), and pins B and C together. Do the same check between pin A, and pins D and E together. The resistance value must be greater than 400 Megohms.
(e) Disconnect pin B from pin C, and pin D from pin E, and connect the connector disconnected in Para. (a).
R (8) From the results of the continuity and isolation tests: - If the the solenoid fails one of the tests, go to Para. (10). - If the two tests are OK, do the next step.
R (9) Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring between the LGCIU 1 (2) and the selector valve (40GA) (Ref. ASM 32-31/05) (Ref. ASM 32-31/06).
R (10) Do the test given in Para. (2): - if the fault continues, do the next step.
R (11) Replace the SEL VALVE-L/G (40GA), (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-12-400-001).
R (12) Do the test given in Para. (2):
