R A. Router Initialization
R The air/ground communication functions and services are active when the
R initialization is complete: they can receive ground messages from the
R sub-networks and send messages to the ground.
R (1) Mandatory parameters for router initialization
R On ground, as soon as the ATSU is supplied, the ATSU performs its
R Power-On Self Test (POST) to determine if the ATIMS is operational.
R NOTE : Detected failures are recorded for BITE and Trouble Shooting____
R Data.
R Once the ATSU self test is performed, the ATSU checks the presence of
R mandatory parameters for its operation:
R - two valid A/L IDENT consisting in two and three character codes for
R the airline identification,
